Portable Free Arm Necchi Sewing Machine 537FA Foot Pedal, Accys, Case Works well. This is my second machine.

I don't use it much. These are touted as being tough for thick materials, as well as reliable. Great sewing machine, and a great model. Extra spool on back allows you to spool up bottom spools on the fly, or change thread with a quick tie off and then spindle switch. Light works well, up inside the side housing over the working needle.

Easy to string upper and lower, with complete instruction book. The book will walk you through anything you need to know. I believe there are youtube videos demonstrating and touting this model too. This has been a great user for me. The little white "very thin linen" bag i made to make sure it works fine now; and as expected it does.
