Bernina 730 Record Sewing Machine for Repair or Parts. This machine did not sell last week but had plenty of views.

So, I have taken the time to give it my amateur evaluation as a Bernina 730 Record enthusiast. I have 3 and this was a gift from someone who thought I could use it for spare parts. This machine is better than spare parts.

It is dirty and needs a good cleaning but all the gears and such that need to move do move. Nothing is stuck that I found. The stitch selectors move, The tension regulator works, The fly wheel turns.

The needle goes up and down. Bobbin case and all associated parts are there.

Free arm gears look good and move. I'm testing all this manually.

It appears that the problem is PROBABLY in the power supply. The foot control is original Bernina but the cord and connection could be hiding something. Truly though, the smoking gun looks like the POWER CORD plug in has been broken and taped together. I tried plugging the whole thing in and using the foot control. There is NO JUICE at all.

Not even a growl or a spark. This includes the case and extension table. The package is 23x15x12 inches.
